Kitchen Reveal: Renter Friendly "Reno" With Quadrostyle Vinyl Floor Stickers

Well guys, here we are... going on month 4 of quarantine here in California! I don't know about you, but for me, sheltering in place has confirmed what I've always believed - that our homes have the power to be a healing refuge from the chaos of our daily lives. I can't tell you how grateful I am for our cozy little beach pad.

Speaking of our beach pad, if you follow me on IG you've seen that home projects have literally been keeping me sane during these past few months. A month ago, I took on a major eyesore in our apartment - the kitchen! Our kitchen has been the one room I've never touched...linoleum floors (ugh!) brown cabinets (why!?) and builder grade lighting are the bane of my existence, but because we rent I didn't think there was much I could do about it.

Needless to say, if you quarantine a designer in an ugly kitchen for 4 months, they will break! With time on my side, I started researching renter-friendly updates that could help give our poor brown kitchen a much needed aesthetic upgrade. In the depths of my internet research I discovered Quadrostyle floor stickers. These vinyl adhesive tile stickers come in a wide range of beautiful patterns and really do look like actual tiles - they are water resistant, durable, and the best part - can be removed easily with no sticky residue.

I put together this "how-to " install video guide so you can see the step by step process for installing the floor panels, and also learn from my mistakes!

We used Quadrostyle's "Harlow" Floor Sticker on our kitchen - use code SUNSOULSTYLE20 for 20% off your order of 250€ or more.

Can we talk about this transformation?! I honestly can't even believe it's the same kitchen. In addition to applying Quadrostyle tiles to our floors, we changed out our hardware, lighting, installed adhesive backsplash, and painted our rolling bar cart (Benjamin Moore Tate Olive FTW!). The best part - all of these updates are temporary and renter-friendly, so when we leave this apartment we'll be getting that hefty security deposit back!

I have to say, I've been really impressed with the durability of these adhesive floor panels - we've had them in for a month now and they look the same as the day we installed them. Full disclosure - the lighter colors show dirt and messes a bit more - but I actually prefer that to our brown floors which just hid everything! I swiffer and vacuum these bad boys and they look as good as new.

Hope my adventures in DIY-ing inspire you to tackle some quarantine projects in your own home!
