My teacher Mike Richardson reminded me of a concept in class last night that I often preach but haven't been practicing much of lately.
I am skinny. I am fat. I am ugly. I am beautiful. I am smart. I am dumb.
We've all heard our ego tell us these stories & beliefs about ourselves. Our thoughts are so incredibly powerful- as Gandhi said "a man is but the product of his thoughts- what he thinks, he becomes." But when we're stuck in negative , fear based thinking patterns - I am fat, I am unworthy of that promotion - guess what, that's what we attract into our life! More negativity, more sugar bingeing, more of what we don't want in our lives.
Try for a week to replace all of those negative "I am's" with positive loving ones - even if you don't believe it. It may feel awkward or even kind of cheezy at first, but this practice is super powerful! Over time this practice helps cultivate a powerful awareness of thought patterns and you can actually rewire neural pathways (!!!) to ultimately attract more of what you want in your life.
